Blender has a medium-high learning curve, but once you get onto that first plateau you'll be able to do a lot.
Normally I wouldn't have the attention span to learn something brand new and struggle with it with no progress, but I've always wanted to figure Blender out and make something cool. I've got a new 3D printer on the way (Ender 3 v3 SE @ $175 w/Prime shipping on 11 OCT 2024) and I wanted to be able to make something cool. I haven't been able to do that in awhile.
I've used opened Blender before, but haven't had a reason to use it.
And, per the new usual, I'm learning something new and ask my wife if she want's to learn it with me. She says suuuurrreee? and follows me into the second bedroom (my office) where my workstation is. I opened Blender and there was that square.
How do I resize this square? I want to make a make a fat square, a triangle, anything. (Note to the Blender team: A simple tutorial would be nice, I had to go through multiple YouTube videos made by people whomoved quite quickly and didn't explain what they were doing. I had to pause it on one of two frames to see that he'd pressed the n key to open the cube's properties. Go ahead, make your software the best out there, but I'd put some effort into making the barrier to entry a little lower.)
Anyways, I've included a list below of all the .blend files I've made so far. Feel free to download them.
